    “Latvijas Vēstures Institūta Žurnāls” ir anonīmi recenzēts vēstures žurnāls, kurā publicēto zinātnisko rakstu mērķis ir paplašināt un padziļināt zināšanas par procesiem un notikumiem, kas no vissenākajiem laikiem līdz mūsdienām norisinājušies, kā arī ietekmējuši norises Latvijas un pārējo Baltijas valstu teritorijā, vai notikuši ārpus tās, bet ir saistīti ar Latvijas un Baltijas reģiona pagātni.

    “Latvijas Vēstures Institūta Žurnāls” (“The Journal of the Institute of Latvian History”) publishes articles aimed at extending and expanding the comprehension of processes and events in the territory of Latvia and the other Baltic states from the earliest times to the present day, as well as developments elsewhere that relate to the past of Latvia and the Baltic region.The journal presents original, previously unpublished contributions in the field of the humanities, particularly history. All the scholarly articles are double-blind peer-reviewed.
